  As the title of my blog post this morning clearly states from this New York Times editorial that I am about to expound upon shows their dark side on the issue of Government and their expansion thereof.
 The title of their crap is "Defenders of the Faith in Government."
 It begins in attack mode as always "Wilbur Ross, the secretary of commerce and a wealthy private businessman, was asked for his first impressions of government service. “I thought the quality of people in the government was not as high as it has turned out to be,” he said. “There are actually quite a lot of very good, very serious, very intelligent people wanting to do their best.”

He should tell his boss.

President Trump, ensconced in his scandal-plagued White House, hasn’t paid much attention to the two million federal employees who report to him, unless he’s cutting their numbers, slashing their budgets or wondering on television, “What do all these people do?”

Mr. Trump has barely set foot inside a federal agency since his appalling trip to the Central Intelligence Agency on Jan. 21, when he stood before a wall carved with the names of officers killed on duty, fabulizing about his inauguration crowds. He also visited the Department of Homeland Security in January. This month, after he fired James Comey, the F.B.I. director, the president scrapped a conciliatory visit to F.B.I. headquarters after learning that he would not be welcome. Mr. Trump has spent more time with members of Mar-a-Lago than with members of the federal work force."

 It goes on the BS rant "That would be people like Phillip Brooks, Byron Bunker, Joshua Van Eaton and their team from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Justice Department, who doggedly investigated Volkswagen’s scheme to evade federal emissions standards and won a record $17.4 billion settlement for car owners and environmental cleanup projects. Or Timothy Camus and the Internal Revenue Service impersonation scam team, a group of Treasury, I.R.S. and other agency workers who unearthed and alerted Americans to a scam that had conned unknowing taxpayers out of millions.

NASA’s Lisa Mazzuca developed a generation of aircraft distress beacons that are better able to withstand crash damage and help rescuers locate victims faster. At the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Vincent Tang and his team developed a low-cost mobile system that allows cities to detect even tiny traces of nuclear materials, to thwart potential terrorist attacks. Justin Sanchez oversaw two projects at Darpa: prosthetic arms that enable amputees to pick up tiny, fragile objects, and an effort to help soldiers with traumatic brain injuries form new memories.

This month, three cabinet secretaries — Steven Mnuchin from Treasury, Dr. David Shulkin from Veterans Affairs and Ben Carson from Housing and Urban Development — joined corporate executives, lawmakers and colleagues in honoring these public servants and some 20 others. They’re finalists for the Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals, presented by the Partnership for Public Service, a nonpartisan advocate for effective federal government. The awards are meant to inspire talented people to enter government at a time when that couldn’t be a harder sell."

Mr. Mnuchin declared himself “humbled to see the talent in this room.” Mr. Carson said that even though he’d heard government employees “didn’t work very hard,” he’d discovered that they are “extremely dedicated.” Dr. Shulkin said the finalists “inspire us to be proud to feel a part of the work force, and they make others want to join us.”

Many of its best minds say federal government work, for all its aggravations, can bring vast material and intellectual resources to bear on problems and discoveries that contribute to our national progress and uphold our democracy. A generation of civil servants inspired by John F. Kennedy’s call to ask what they could do for their country found the answer at a federal agency. As they retire, recruitment is hobbled by a hiring freeze and a president so solipsistic he can’t understand, let alone celebrate, public service.

The Partnership for Public Service produces the Best Places to Work in the Federal Government guide based on an annual federal employee survey. The 2016 data reveal that federal employees say they get less respect, fewer incentives and less recognition for superior work than do their private sector counterparts. Shockingly, more than 40 percent say they can’t disclose violations of law or ethics without reprisals by supervisors. And that was before Mr. Trump came on board and started hunting for leakers.

 Obviously the NYT doesn't understand what it means to cut the Pork dumbasses.

 It finally ends "Committed, talented public servants can foil this president’s abuses of democracy. Americans wonder why anyone would join such a government. Better to ask how to encourage the best to stay, and persuade a new generation that there’s never been a more important time to sign up.

  Government employees especially for example the Department of State is just a huge hangout for the left it has been for years and years now.

  This mornings lead editorial in the New York Times proves beyond the shadow of any doubt that their editorial board are dumber than a pile of rocks.
  The title "President Trump Tries to Engage the Muslim World" blows my mind at how stupid they are.
 It begins "No American president in modern times has disparaged Islam as much as Donald Trump. From the attempted visa ban on Muslim-majority countries to his campaign claims that “Islam hates us” to his Islamaphobic advisers, the president’s record of hostility is well documented.

So his first overseas trip as president is something of a paradox, with a first stop in Saudi Arabia — a major force in the Sunni Arab world —- that includes meetings with members of the royal family, a summit meeting with other Arab leaders and a major speech on Sunday."

  Umm hello NYT the ban was for Muslim TERRORISTS and the countries they come from you dumb asses.

 It goes on "Does that mean Mr. Trump has changed his stripes? Given his casual approach to the truth and his malleable belief system, it’s impossible to know his true views on Islam. What we do know is that he needs all the help he can get from Muslim countries to fight the Islamic State. If he uses the speech and the trip to set a new tone with the Muslim world, that would be greatly in America’s interest.

The Saudis, who came to loathe President Barack Obama, are falling over themselves to turn the page. Mr. Trump’s decision to visit Saudi Arabia “lays to rest the notion that America is anti-Muslim,” the Saudi foreign minister, Adel al-Jubeir, told reporters early this month, ignoring the fact that the real issue is not whether America is anti-Muslim but whether Mr. Trump is. It was he, after all, who stoked xenophobic fires to win the election."

 It ends "Along with other Sunni Arab countries, Saudi Arabia is obsessed with Iran, which is unquestionably playing a troubling and mischievous role in Syria, Yemen and Lebanon, and the Saudis are pleased with Mr. Trump’s anti-Iran line. But focusing only on Iran ignores the destabilizing activities of Saudi Arabia in Yemen, where Saudi bombs have killed untold numbers of civilians. It also ignores the fact that Saudi Arabia’s conservative brand of Islam has done much to inspire ISIS and other extremists.

Mr. Obama tried to forge a more neutral path, engaging Iran on the nuclear deal and admonishing the Saudis to find a way to live with Iran. There is speculation that the Sunni Arabs and Israel might cooperate in a regional security arrangement. This could be constructive, but not if its only purpose is to ostracize Iran.

With Mr. Trump embattled at home, there’s a real danger that in his eagerness for a successful visit he will agree to almost anything his hosts desire, like more American involvement in proxy wars against Iran in Yemen and Syria. Also, he has shown little interest in human rights and in pressing authoritarian countries to treat their people — especially women, in Saudi Arabia’s case — with respect.

This trip is Mr. Trump’s first chance to act as a global statesman. He will define that role not by accommodating Arab demands but by pursuing a strategy that advances America’s security interests as well as those of its partners.

NYT Bonkers Over French Presidential Election Results

  Well the results are in from the Presidential election in France and the New York Times is all hot and horny over the results. The title of their lead editorial "France Elects Emmanuel Macron" nuts over the results.
 The horniness begins "The decisive election of Emmanuel Macron, a 39-year-old political neophyte committed to the European Union, economic reform and traditional liberalism, as president of France offered powerful relief to everyone who had feared that France could become the next country to succumb to the wave of populism, nationalism and anti-globalism sweeping through Western democracies.

A mysterious, 11th-hour email hack of the Macron campaign appears to have made little or no difference to the eventual outcome. With projections showing Mr. Macron with more than 65 percent of the vote to 35 percent for the far-right, nationalist Marine Le Pen, his was a victory of hope and optimism over fear and reaction; of a future in Europe rather than in resentful isolation.The victory was remarkable in many ways. When he enters the Élysée Palace to start his five-year term next weekend, Mr. Macron will be the youngest president in French republican history. He will be the first president in decades not to come from one of the traditional parties of the left or right; he formed his own centrist political party, En Marche! (loosely translated as “Forward!”) barely a year ago. A student of philosophy, accomplished pianist, former investment banker and most recently minister of economy under President François Hollande, he had never before run for office.

 It goes on "But dramatic and impressive as his victory is, Mr. Macron faces formidable challenges. He is taking charge of a nation deeply divided, much like the United States, Britain and other major democracies, with many people feeling marginalized by globalization, economic stagnation, an unresponsive government, unemployment, faceless terrorism and a tide of immigrants.That a far-right nationalist like Ms. Le Pen could reach the second round of voting over the established parties, and then collect more than a third of the vote, was stark evidence of the despair of what she calls “les oubliés,” “the forgotten.”

In a victory address before a vast throng of cheering supporters in the courtyard of the Louvre, Mr. Macron acknowledged the divisions in French society and repeatedly invoked the “immense task” that lies ahead. That begins immediately: Achieving any of his goals, which include reforming the stultifying French labor code, a perennial frustration for businesses, and cutting the bloated ranks of public employees, will require another political feat next month when France votes for a new National Assembly. Mr. Macron’s fledgling party plans to run candidates in all districts.

All that lies ahead. For now, there is the satisfaction that despite the breakdown of traditional parties, despite considerable malaise in the French and European publics, and despite the email hack (causing fingers to be pointed at a familiar target, Moscow) French voters were not seduced by nativist illusions and instead chose a youthful and optimistic president who believes that France must remain open, progressive, tolerant and European.

NYT Teeing Off On Trump Apointee To SCOTUS Neil Gorsuch

  It has been a few months since my last post been busy taking in all what our new President has Done. I'm quite happy with the results thus far the health care was some what controversial but that will change.
 But now to todays post. "Neil Gorsuch and the State’s Power to Kill" is the title of the New York Times editorial this morning.
 It begins "It’s not entirely fair to judge a Supreme Court justice based on his first vote. Urgent matters arise unexpectedly, and the court must sometimes act quickly.

Still, it’s worth paying special attention to Justice Neil Gorsuch’s vote late Thursday night to deny a stay of execution for Ledell Lee, an Arkansas man who was sentenced to death in 1995 for murdering a woman named Debra Reese with a tire thumper.

After Justice Gorsuch, along with the four other conservative justices, denied his final appeal without explanation, Mr. Lee, who maintained his innocence until the end, was executed by lethal injection.

He was pronounced dead at 11:56 p.m. Central Daylight Time, minutes before his death warrant expired. Arkansas had not executed anyone since 2005.

In short, the first significant decision by Justice Gorsuch, who was sworn in to office less than two weeks ago, was the most consequential any justice can make — to approve a man’s killing by the state. Hello NYT its not killing by the state its called JUSTICE dumbasses

  It goes on ranting "That man, like so many others condemned to die around the country, was a walking catalog of reasons the American death penalty is a travesty. Evidence that Mr. Lee was intellectually disabled and suffered from fetal alcohol syndrome was never introduced into court, mainly because he had egregiously bad representation. One of his lawyers was so drunk in court that a federal judge reviewing the case later said he could tell simply by reading the transcripts.In addition to raising these issues in his appeals to the justices, Mr. Lee challenged Arkansas’s lethal-injection drug protocol, which incorporates a sedative, midazolam, that has been implicated in multiple botched executions. For both moral and business reasons, drug makers have banned the use of their products for state-sanctioned killing, making it harder for states to get their hands on them. In fact, Arkansas initially scheduled Mr. Lee’s execution as part of an unprecedented killing spree — eight inmates over the course of 11 days — because the state’s old batch of midazolam was about to expire. (As of Friday afternoon, four of those executions had been placed on hold by the courts, for various reasons.)"

"This rush to kill based solely on a “use-by” date is “close to random,” Justice Stephen Breyer wrote on Thursday in dissenting from the court’s refusal to stay Mr. Lee’s execution. The three more liberal justices agreed that the stay should have been granted, as they regularly do in such cases, just as the conservative justices regularly vote the other way.

That 4-to-4 split effectively gave the deciding vote over Mr. Lee’s life to Justice Gorsuch, sitting in a seat that by all rights should be occupied not by him but by President Barack Obama’s doomed nominee, Merrick Garland.

During his confirmation hearings, Justice Gorsuch talked a lot about his respect for the rule of law, and the importance of sticking to the plain text of the Constitution and of statutes. But he didn’t have to rewrite the Eighth Amendment to see, as Justice Breyer did, that Mr. Lee’s case exemplified “how the arbitrary nature of the death penalty system, as presently administered, runs contrary to the very purpose of a ‘rule of law.’ ”

Neil Gorsuch held the power of life and death in his hands Thursday night. His choice led to Ledell Lee’s execution, and gave the nation an early, and troubling, look into the mind-set of the high court’s newest member."

NYT Whining About Being Barred From White House Press Room

   This editorial from the New York Times was actually in Fridays paper but no better time than the present to acknowledge it. The title of this cry baby rant stems from  President Trump calling most of the leftist liberal lamestream media fake news which is coined perfectly.

  The title of their rant "Barring the White House Press Corps From the White House" boo hoo I say.

  It begins "It’s tempting to take Friday’s petty decision by the Trump White House to bar certain news organizations from a briefing — something no administration of either party has ever done — as a backhanded compliment to the reporters whose honest work provoked the president’s latest foot-stamping tantrum.

It is certainly that. And in itself it is no huge blow to the republic. Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, chose to bar The New York Times, CNN, Politico, Buzzfeed News and The Los Angeles Times, but other trustworthy news organizations were nevertheless in the room, and they can be relied upon to accurately report what they learned.

Yet the move was also an unmistakable insult to democratic ideals. Don’t just take our word for it — take Mr. Spicer’s. In December, he told Politico that the Trump White House would never ban a news outlet. “Conservative, liberal or otherwise, I think that’s what makes a democracy a democracy versus a dictatorship,” he said.

 A backhanded compliment to the reporters whose honest work provoked the president's latest footstomping tantrum. How self righteous of you assholes its because you especially you NYT ARE FAKE NEWS dumbasses.

 It goes on "Huh. Not during Watergate, Iran-contra, the Monica Lewinsky affair or any number of other scandals or crises has a president of either party ever barred an accredited news organization from a White House briefing. Some presidents may have longed to punish particular news organizations or reporters, but aides have generally found ways to protect their bosses from such self-defeating moves, fearing that such vindictiveness would just make their bosses look small.

Mr. Trump’s inexperienced aides, however, seem too frightened to argue with their volatile boss. Mr. Spicer’s hypocrisy came after another wild rant against the news media by Mr. Trump, who during an appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday again accused reporters of lying and fabricating stories — including stories that members of his own administration helped spread. “They say that we can’t criticize their dishonest coverage because of the First Amendment, you know, they always bring up the First Amendment,” he said.

NYT Interpretation Of The Year That Was 2016

 I guess we can gloat it would be totally justified since the left went all out crazy when Obama was elected back in 2008 and for unseen reason re-elected in 2012.

 The race baiter the so called Rev.Jesse Jackson back in 2008 was crying and saying Barack Obama was the first African-American President in US History but of course never acknowledge that his mother was a Caucasian (for you liberals that's white).

 Now fast forward to todays lead editorial in the New York Times all of the sudden 2016 was a bad year by their piece of crap entitled "Take a Bad Year. And Make It Better" oh well I say.

 The rant begins "Let’s pretend we’re in some cosmic therapist’s office, in a counseling session with the year 2016. We are asked to face the year and say something nice about it. Just one or two things.

The mind balks. Fingers tighten around the Kleenex as a cascade of horribles wells up in memory: You were a terrible year. We hate you. We’ll be so glad never to see you again. The silence echoes as we grope for a reply.

The Cubs?

Looking back on the last 12 months, those who feel miserable and afraid have plenty of justification. For many it was the election of a president unfit for the job. He seems to want to run the country like some authoritarian game-show host, but we don’t really know what he’ll do, and uncertainty worsens the sickening feeling.

 Yeah in pink if you are a Hillary Clinton supporter and still bitching and whining about the Presidential election results because they didn't go your way boo fucking whoo. Oh no correction President-elect Trump is more qualified than Obama or Hillary for that matter. Sucks to be liberals establishment and other readers that are left of the NYT.

 It goes on "Yet so many bad things happened, from the unthinkable to the horrifying to the merely shocking. Things fell apart. Tyrants and terrorists trailed blood and rubble across the Middle East and Europe. Refugees drowned in the Mediterranean. Right-wing extremism and xenophobia were on the march. The American election let loose old racial hatreds. The planet got hotter; the Arctic went haywire. The world was burning or smoldering or blowing up or melting.

It was bad. But to avoid the poles of despair and denial, it would help to have a frame of mind, a perspective with which to consider the year gone by. And with it, a sober but bracing way to meet the headwinds and miseries that await in 2017. It could be this: a recognition of the power of unity, of drawing close, and of speaking out. Of the strength that solidarity wielded in 2016, over and over.

 In green OMG not the right wing extremists no the only xenophobia was from you bastards on the left spewing your hatred of Donald Trump or liberalism gone mental but that's you all's normal state of mind lmao.

 It goes on again "The most powerless of economic players, low-wage workers, kept pressing for a $15 minimum wage. Rallies across the country in November invigorated the cause, which is succeeding against long odds. More than two dozen states and localities have raised minimum wages as the movement has gone mainstream.

 Funny the NYT fails to mention the ones who were crying poor mouth wanting $15.00 an hour were the burger flippers at those golden arches aka McDonalds workers. Umm where is the cause succeeding in your own bullshit minds.

 More misery bs "The most frequent targets of the dehumanizing rhetoric of the Trump campaign — immigrants and refugees — found welcome in many communities. Families opened their homes to displaced Syrians. Churches gave sanctuary to unauthorized immigrants. Governors and mayors, teachers and lawyers, faith leaders and congregations vowed to resist any efforts to demonize the foreign-born.

There and elsewhere was evidence that the center could hold, and reason and compassion prevail.

 Oh ok now back to attacking Trump yeah foreign born that are BREAKING OUR LAWS JUST BY BEING HERE ON OUR SOIL NYT DONT YOU MORONS GET IT!

  It ends more made up opinion/news "National protests shone a harsh light on police killings of black civilians. Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama inspired millions, their achievements and grace rebuking the sour misogyny of the Trump campaign. American Indians in North Dakota braved rubber bullets and water cannons to protect their drinking water from an oil pipeline. Nations of the world — all threatened by a warming planet — ratified the Paris climate agreement. The global health community found ways to subdue the Zika virus and create an effective Ebola vaccine. The death penalty in the United States kept sliding into history’s dustbin. Some states, reflecting strong public support, began tilting the gun debate in the direction of sanity

The forces of disunity are strong, but our job is to make the country less divided than Donald Trump’s splintering campaign has left it. A Roman Catholic priest, James Martin, in a powerful essay after the election, counseled combatants to give one another the benefit of the doubt — while remaining ready to defend those likely to suffer in the coming administration: “the homeless, the unemployed, the underemployed, the disabled, the sick.”

His words made us think of West Virginia. It’s a state that turned its back on Democrats, where populist anger fed on racism and working-class despair. But it’s also the home of Blind Alfred Reed, a Methodist minister and old-time folk fiddler who died 60 years ago. He is buried in Mercer County, which gave Mr. Trump 75 percent of the vote. Blind Alfred wrote a remarkable song, “Always Lift Him Up.” Its many verses counsel unflinching kindness for the most unloved and unlovable among us.

If he has no friends and everything’s against him/If he’s failed at everything that he has tried/Try to lift his load and help to bear his burden/Let him know that you are walking by his side.

If he feels that all is lost and he is falling/Try to place that poor man’s feet on solid ground/Just remember he’s some mother’s precious darling/Always lift him up and never knock him down.

That’s a message for these times. Lift up those in the Fight for $15, those fighting policing abuses and discrimination, those who are marginalized and poor and weak. This may be the most heartening development in a dismal year — the evidence all around that we know how to do this, and can indeed summon the will.

  Every Friday since President-elect Trump won the New York Times have wasted more time and energy dedicated to a new spot on their already useless editorial pages.

  The title of this weeks "The Scope of Hate in 2016" by ANNA NORTH.

 The so called hate begins "How many hate crimes have been committed since the election? The short answer is, we don’t know.

National data on hate crime is scarce. The F.B.I. releases annual statistics on hate crimes, but not every incident is reported to the agency. And some incidents of bias-motivated harassment or intimidation don’t fit the F.B.I.’s definition of a hate crime. However, the Southern Poverty Law Center and other groups are studying the problem with an eye to providing more comprehensive data. Below are a few things we know about trends in hate crime before and after the election, false reports and more.

 I say who cares no one I know of cares.

 It goes on "According to the F.B.I., hate crimes rose in 2015.

The F.B.I. hasn’t released hate crime data for 2016 yet, but in November it reported a total of 5,850 hate crimes in 2015, up from 5,479 in 2014. The biggest jump was in anti-Muslim hate crimes, which rose by 67 percent last year. Anti-Semitic crimes were up 9 percent, and anti-black crimes rose almost 8 percent.

Terrorist attacks in the United States and Europe may have stirred up anti-Muslim hatred in 2015, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. But Donald Trump’s campaign promises about banning Muslims may have played an even bigger role. “Whenever a politician starts attacking a particular population,” said Heidi Beirich, who directs the S.P.L.C.’s yearly count of hate groups, “we tend to get hate crimes.”

 Gee if its true I wonder why. Yeah the FBI running stats under this poor excuse of a Presidential administration.
 It goes on "The Southern Poverty Law Center has found more than 1,000 reports of hate incidents since the election.

The group counted 1,094 reports of harassment and intimidation between Nov. 9 and Dec. 12. According to Ms. Beirich, this number is unusually high, more than the group would usually see over a six-month period.Reported incidents included a homophobic voice mail sent to a church, a racial slur directed at a teenage boy and a threatening letter sent to mosques around the country. Immigrants were the most common target of hate and harassment, followed by African-Americans and Muslims). The S.P.L.C. has counted 26 incidents of hate or harassment aimed at Mr. Trump’s supporters in the month after the election.

Some reports to the group have been firsthand accounts, while others have been news stories sent in by readers. The S.P.L.C. is working to verify all reports and has verified about half so far.

Thirteen other reports appeared to be false.

Starting with more than 200 the day after the election, the number of reports per day fell to the single digits in early December. The same thing happened in Britain after Brexit, said Ms. Beirich, with a surge in hate crimes followed by a drop. However, she said, if the Trump administration “continues to demonize certain populations, whether it be Latinos or immigrants or the Muslim community,” hate crimes against those groups will continue: “That’s a pattern that has played itself out over and over again.”

Elected officials at the state and city level, as well as members of the community, can help fight hate and harassment by speaking out in support of immigrants and others who are vulnerable, she said. Law enforcement needs to take hate crimes seriously and investigate them aggressively.

Ms. Beirich said that because Mr. Trump’s campaign and election have brought such a jump in hate crimes, she felt he had a duty to denounce them much more vigorously than he has. George W. Bush’s address at a mosque six days after 9/11, in which he said, “Islam is peace,” had a big effect on anti-Muslim harassment. President-elect Trump needs to do more than make a few comments in interviews, she said. “What we need is real leadership on his part to tamp this down.”
